Lamont City-Wide Spring Clean-Up

Wednesday, April 8th, 2026 during regular garbage pickup – All items must be placed at the curb prior to 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8th but not before Saturday, April 4th for Kluesner Sanitation to pick up.  Trucks will not loop back around to pick up items placed out after the truck has passed a location.  Items not picked up must be removed from curb by Monday April 13th. Items remaining after specified time limits will be picked up by the city and residents will be charged a $25 service call plus $45 per hour (1 hour minimum) and disposal costs.

City of Lamont Clean Up Guidelines: All items must be placed curbside at your normal garbage pickup location by 6:00 a.m. on your clean-up day. All small items must be in a garbage bag or box.

ITEMS ACCEPTED FOR PICKUP:

  • Box springs, mattresses, bed frames
  • Sofas, tables, chairs, dressers, desks, bookshelves
  • Bathroom fixtures, toilets, sinks, carpet
  • Children’s toys
  • Paint cans (must be open and dry)
  • Outdoor patio furniture, garden tools, grills, gas powered items (must be fully drained of fuel, oil, hazardous materials

UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS:

  • Items on trailers, building materials, excessive remodeling materials
  • Roofing, shingles, bricks, concrete
  • LP tanks, vehicles, vehicle parts
  • Chemicals, hazardous materials, wet paint, items of excessive weight or length
  • Yard waste, including trees and branches

NO asbestos, oil, batteries, paint, thinner, bricks, concrete, toxic waste, automotive parts, tires, yard waste, burn barrels, shingles, construction and remodeling waste, or items too heavy to lift into truck.

EXCESSIVE AMOUNTS OF MATERIAL MAY NOT BE TAKEN. All items must be small enough to be picked up by one person. All loose materials must be contained in bags, trash containers or boxes that can be safely loaded.  Bagged materials is limited to 25-lbs per bag, bags must be tied so they can be lifted from the top.  Sharp objects such as broken glass must be enclosed in puncture proof containers.   All items will be collected at the discretion of Kluesner Sanitation.
